Meet Our Founder: Brandon Smith
California Probate was founded by Brandon Smith to make the probate process clearer and more accessible for families across California. Brandon’s passion for law began with his own family’s experience running a small business in Sacramento. Watching his parents struggle to find straightforward legal answers sparked a desire to build a practice that could support families with probate, estate, and real estate matters—all in one place.
After earning his law degree and passing the bar in 2015, Brandon co-founded Smith & Burgoon Realty and launched his private law practice. His combined experience in law and real estate gives clients the benefit of comprehensive, efficient service—especially when estates involve property or business assets. A longtime Roseville resident, Brandon lives there with his wife, Chelsea, and their two daughters, Crosby and Lucca.
